While working as a script consultant for North Carolina’s Commerce Department (Division of Community Assistance), the Department offered me the opportunity to narrate the eight-part video series.
It was my experience writing for Area Development magazine that initially led NC State to ask for my help with the script, which discussed the principles of urban design planning. During the script revision process, my contact in the Department heard a few of the podcast I’d recently recorded for SRI International and thought my voice would be a perfect fit for the narration.
North Carolina uses the new video series, Designing Better Places, to educate community planners throughout North Carolina.
