Twice monthly I will be posting items of importance to AV Technology magazine's blog, which serves tech managers and facility directors who use AV systems daily. I'll be reporting on breaking trends and issues of interest in this fascinating and expanding field. My first post will be on the site early next week.
I'm honored to be among a handful of technology writers invited to post regularly on the AV Technology Web site. AV Technology’s mission is to bridge the knowledge gap between AV and IT, as such it is a perfect fit for my background. While the world of audio-visuals is relatively new to me, for more than 20 years I've been helping managers in a wide variety of fields make the best possible technology purchasing decisions for their companies, school districts, or organizations. By talking to a wide range of industry insiders, public relations professionals, end users, and industry analysts, I look forward to quickly becoming familiar with AV systems and equipment.
To that end, I'm calling on PR people in the AV industry to send me relevant pitches on the following subjects: HD video on the network, audio in AV design, product reviews, and interesting museum exhibits featuring AV, or any other topic that AV tech managers need to know about the industry, especially case studies that examine what it is like to work with a particular system or product.
